Does anyone know where I can order another Berts Baladi CD? Mine is being played to death and my friend wants a copy too. And if he has any other music cds, where can I get them?
Thanks,

Re: Berts Baladi CD
Fri, January 4, 2008 - 6:04 AMI was hoping someone else would be able to help you, but I have a couple ideas: Try Amazon.com or eBay to start. It is amazing what you can find. In Amazon there used to be a "used music" section if you searched a bit. Also, I would say try Pekoe music, they have wonderful selections.
Another approach: If you can still play your CD, why not import it into your computer music folder (I use iTunes and it is fabulous for me) to save the original music and then you can burn yourself as many CDs as you like without fear of them ever wearing out. And before anyone gets up in arms about music rights, I am not suggesting that you provide copies for everyone just that you can have your own backups for the day when the original ceases to play.
Good luck in your search!

where to buy Bert's Baladi CD
Mon, April 7, 2008 - 2:35 PMHello,
You can purchase Bert's Baladi from Amaya, also a DVD tribute to Bert.
at the moment Amaya has a special on buying both items, with a savings of $25.00
home.comcast.net/~mamaya1/...index.html
BTW, I am on the DVD and had the honor of dancing with and sponsoring Bert during the 70s & 80s.

Re: where to buy Bert's Baladi CD
Sat, April 26, 2008 - 4:46 PMWow, glad that you had a chance to dance with Bert back then, I have a picture of me with Bert in Louisana at his workshop in Baton Rouge in the early 80's. HOw time flies! I have been involved with belly dancing for 35 years, and quit when I was 42 years old and took it up again at 56 years old.

Wed, April 9, 2008 - 8:55 AMI haven't checked to see if it's there, but you might want to look at www.maryellendonald.com . I think Mary Ellen did the drumming for this CD, and still sells it.
