Yeah, the Shanmonster site is cool! A lot of my mother's old buddies from the belly dance circuit in the sixties and seventies are on that site and I enjoyed showing that to her a couple of years ago. It pretty much runs a gamut also showing belly dancers in art, old postcards, "pseudo" dancers, etc. So you can see the different looks across the board.

The site also shows some old "Burlesque" performers. I remember recognizing Jack Paar's first wife Burlesque sensation Sally Keith of Boston who was big in the 40's. I e-mailed the web hostess about her identity but alas, never heard back.

Folks,

A while back (and 2 computers ago), I recall stumbling upon a website that featured some fabulous old, vintage photos of belly dancers and people portraying belly dancers (i.e. Doris Day, etc.) in old films. Would anyone out there know which site I'm talking about and might be able to provide a link?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!
