Has anyone studied with Leila Gamal? I had only one workshop with her about 8 years ago, and she was so inspiring and influential. But, it seems she's retired now, I'm not sure. Anyone have news?

I received an email from her last year, and she was doing well at that time. She retired to enjoy being a grandmother. :-)
Miss her, big time!!!

I would travel just about anywhere for a workshop with Leila again... except that I've already committed my entire dance company to a competition that weekend. *sigh* I could cry.
Is she coming back to teaching, or is this just a one time special favor? -

Sun, June 24, 2007 - 6:53 PMHi all. Leila has decided to teach workshops at our studio ever coupla months (Park Forest, IL). The next one isnt on the website, but its scheduled to be in October 21st 2007 (I think, dont quote me, but check the site soon). Visit www.naamarose.com for deets! :) The workshops are 2 hours, the size limit is 15 students, so its nice an intimate, and the cost is $30, which is a STEAL if you ask me.
I've been to 2 of her workshops so far at our studio and I wont miss a single one, she is that great. I cant say enough good things about her, I cant I cant.
(um...can you tell Im a fan?)
