The 27th Annual Kismet Bellydance Festival will be on Fri/Sat August 17-18, 2007, at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 West 3100 South, West Valley City, UT 84119 (Salt Lake City).
Hours are Noon to 10:00 pm, admission is $5 at the door, children 12 and under are free.
After 30 years teaching BD in Salt Lake City (of all places!), this will be the last time Yasamina produces it.
She is passing on her legacy (most Utah BD companies and teachers came through her), as the Festival and her Kismet Dance Company will be continued by a group of four of her students for the next 27 years. Yasamina will continue to teach workshops and perform, and live a life filled with love and happiness.

Re: Passing the torch in Utah
Sun, November 11, 2007 - 8:20 PMWow, what a legacy!
I attended your festival a few time in the mid-1990s (and danced once with my troupe Ya Habibi after meeting you t the BD of the Year Pageant in northern California). Always had a great time and *always* love your dancing and your troupe's dancing.
Cheers!
